OUR STORY
HJSA’s expertise is in audiovisual, security, telecom and related technology systems and we have experience in a broad range of projects that includes Corporate, High Rise-Mixed Use, Multi-Family Dwellings, Government, Judicial, Cultural, K-12, Higher Education and Military and Senior Living.
We have the expertise and have completed a number of NOC, EOC, SOC and 911 Centers.
HJSA is at home in both the Design-Bid-Build and the Design Build world. We do programing in SD, delivering budgets and narratives. In DD we create all of the infrastructure drawings and details that include Specifications. CD includes final drawings and updates to specifications. In CA we do acceptance testing and ensure that all deliverables are received.
THE TEAM
Howard Steele
AIA, ICIA, BICSI, SBE, SMPS
Howard brings over 20 years’ experience designing, evaluating and implementing a broad range of audiovisual and technology systems for Corporate, Education, Healthcare, Government, Judicial, Cultural, Convention Center, High-Rise/Mixed Use, Multi-Family Dwellings and Operations Centers. Howard is experienced in systems budget analysis, systems design, and technology infrastructure requirements. He works proactively with design teams to ensure a successful project. His diverse background includes experience in concept design, master planning, needs analysis, site surveys, project management and systems acceptance testing.
Damon Sickmon
PSP, CSPM, NFPA, ASIS, SIA
Damon has over twenty years of experience working in the security and technology sector. With his extensive background in access control, video surveillance, detention systems and threat mitigation, Damon has developed concepts and security systems designs for healthcare, education, corporate and government projects. He is certified Physical Security Professional (PSP) and a Security Project Manager (CSPM). Damon provides the guidance to design the appropriate systems that meet the functional requirements, asset protection needs and code compliancy on a project by project basis He is a member of the National Fire Prevention Association and is a NICET III certified in fire protection engineer and teaches security and fire alarm classes for the International Code Council.
Tom Defrange
BICSI
Mr. Defrange is an RCDD Infrastructure Designer specializing in the design, procurement and implementation of voice and data network infrastructures. His experience includes Data Centers, Corporate, Education, Multi-Family Dwellings, High-Rise Mixed Use, Assisted Living and Casinos, and has worked nationally and within the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex for over 15 years. He leverages this knowledge gained to minimize networking costs while maximizing the network infrastructure lifecycle. His projects include designs to support all types and sizes of digital multi-media systems, wireless collaboration systems, video display walls, digital signage systems, IP distribution, video conferencing and unified communications systems. Mr. Defrange’s capabilities include systems, budget and needs analysis, conceptual design and master planning. analysis, site surveys, and project management.
Fred McCoy
BICSI, NFPA, AFCOM, TIA, Uptime Institute, 24 x 7
Fred brings a level of telecommunications expertise that adds another dimension to HJSA consulting. His projects include design of mission critical data centers for many of the most popular websites on the internet including Yahoo, Amazon, Google, Myspace and Facebook and brings his experience in designing, evaluating and implementing projects to serve as technical resource for our telecommunications projects. In the case of large opportunities, Fred brings insight to our team, providing technical support, project management and business expertise. Fred’s projects cover a broad range of technology systems for Corporate, Healthcare, Government, Financial, Cultural, Convention Center and Multi-Family Dwellings.
